An Honest Six Figure Mentors Review
Anyone who has ever started their own business knows two things: it’s scary, and you might need to ask for help. The same goes for starting a website in search of additional or even sole income. And that’s precisely what I did.
Many website owners make their income through affiliate marketing, but if you’re new to it, you might begin by searching for an affiliate marketing course.
Six Figure Mentors is an affiliate marketing course that boasts hefty claims about turning your site into income. There have even been talks about a 6 figure mentors scam. In my Six Figure Mentors review, I’ll be taking a closer look into this controversial program to let you know whether it’s legit or no good.
Here is my Six Figure Mentors Review.
What is Six Figure Mentors?
Six Figure Mentors, established by Stuart Ross and Jay Kubassek, is a digital business system aiming at helping anyone looking to achieve financial security and live their life on their own terms, stepping out of the status quo using affiliate marketing.
Things to Consider Before Buying an Affiliate Marketing Course
The upside to affiliate marketing courses is that there are some high-quality products out there that can help you build a better online business. The downside, of course, is that the industry contains rotten eggs that promote scams to essentially steal your money.
Consider the following things you should keep an eye out for before deciding which affiliate marketing course to invest your money.
When it comes to affiliate marketing courses, there are many aimed at beginners with no experience in the field. Still, others steer towards those who are already in the business.
If you want to have the most amount of success with your course, you need to make sure you’re choosing the right experience level. For example, if you’re new to affiliate marketing, you will want to stray away from courses that start with a site that’s up and running and already making some kind of profit.
Likewise, if you’re already earning affiliate income from home with your website, you probably won’t get much out of a beginner site that addresses individuals who haven’t chosen their niche market yet.
It’s fair to say that you will probably pay at least a couple hundred dollars for a quality affiliate marketing course. That being said, there are some free and cheaper courses out there that you can try out.
The upside to trying a free or cheap course is that if it doesn’t prove to be quality or beneficial, you didn’t lose out on your money – just your time.
For the most part, courses with a higher cost contain more content, more experienced creators, and generally produce better results. Even so, be sure to do some in-depth research without assuming the course is good because it has a high price tag.
When considering cost, be smart and decisive; don’t be afraid to invest in your future, but make sure you’re not reaching far outside of your budget.
A lot of high-quality, legitimate affiliate marketing courses will offer an official certificate of completion once you finish the program. Receiving a certificate isn’t what I would deem necessary, but it adds a bit of legitimacy to the courses, and it’s nice to have on record that you completed all of the materials.
At the very least, you can post your certificate on your LinkedIn or other professional sites to gain traction as a trusted affiliate marketer. Plus, it could give you a little boost over someone else should you decide to apply to a related job in the future.
It’s ideal to find a course that is transparent about the specific content you will be covering. Certain aspects of affiliate marketing are crucial to learning, such as SEO, site building, and niche research.
Some of you may even know what areas you want to learn about and improve upon, so if you can figure out what the course is teaching, you can decide whether or not it will be valuable to you.
You should also take note of what type of content is involved. Is the course mostly videos, or is there a lot of reading to do? Does it use a lot of real-world examples, and does it offer templates for you to use? You can decide on these things based on your preference – for example, I prefer lots of videos over text because it’s faster and easier to understand.
Six Figure Mentors: An Overview
While this website is an affiliate marketing program, it holds a little controversy about how its students actually earn money. Rather than calling it a program, I’d be more likely to refer to it as the Six Figure Mentors pyramid scheme.
We’ve all seen some form of a pyramid scheme – mainly on social media. The system allows top-tier members to earn money by recruiting other members. The more people they get to sign up for the program, the more money they make. The new members then try to accomplish the same thing, and it seems as though no real business is accomplished.
Six Figure Mentors would better be described as multi-level marketing, which is different from a pyramid scheme mostly because the former is legal, and the latter is not. In a way, Six Figure Mentors gets off on a technicality because they have a product to sell, while a pyramid scheme doesn’t. They also don’t require buyers to pay extra fees to join their system; they only charge for the course’s purchase.
So why are we even mentioning pyramid schemes and multi-level marketing?
Six Figure Mentors program works by teaching students about affiliate marketing and showing them how to market their course. So, individuals who have completed the course mainly make money by going on to promote the course through paid traffic.
Some people find this a little sketchy because when you think about it, the site basically trains its customers to promote for them, rather than a general concept of being an affiliate marketer for a niche of their choice.
- If you’re willing to invest a lot of money and sell the site’s program to others, you might eventually make a profit
- They offer a risk-free refund guarantee
- There are lots of costs and hidden fees
- It appears you have to promote Six Figures Mentors to earn significant money, despite claims stating otherwise
- Co-Founder Stuart Ross Six Figure Mentors has been linked to illegal multi-level marketing scams
- Many generic, empty positive reviews lacking specifics
- The company frequently reaches out to sign-ups to purchase additional paid training and upgrades
Features & Benefits
According to the Six Figure Mentors website, there are tons of features that you get based on various memberships. However, I would take them all with a grain of salt, as many of them are dishonest and misleading.
Training Tools, Resources, and Community
On their homepage, Six Figure Marketing claims to deliver essential tools and resources needed to succeed in online marketing. In specific ways, this claim is technically correct – they do have tools and resources, and they certainly have a community.
However, these tools come at various increasing costs for you. And, they mainly teach you how to sell one product and one product only: the company’s programs.
According to the site, these tools include step-by-step instructions, a personal system consultant for one-on-one guidance, weekly training webinars, and a private community membership with live chats.
However, the above options vary based on your membership level. For instance, you only get access to the private community if you sign up for enrollment, which is a monthly fee. And your exclusive webinars only come with the elite membership, which you can only purchase after you’ve paid the enrollment fee.
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
While it seems there’s really not many positive things to say about Six Figures Mentors review, I will say that they do honor a 30-day, money-back guarantee. In fact, their site says explicitly, “full and prompt refund, no questions asked.”
Based on testimonials and reviews in this area, it seems that the company does keep its word here. You can take 30 days to go through the entire program, and if you decide within that time frame that it’s not the right program for you, you can back out and get your money back from a paid membership.
Thousands of Courses
When you sign up for the basic free program, you gain access to the digital business system introductory module, where you will learn how to start the right business and perform one-on-one consultations.
After becoming a member and paying the membership fee, the company then gives you access to thousands of additional courses. This is beneficial because you can continue to learn and grow. However, these courses are located on a platform called LinkedIn Learning, which is a separate entity that you can sign up for on your own – for a much lower fee.
The courses are widespread and cover areas of business, marketing, creativity, and technology. But you do not need a Six Figure Mentors membership to access them. You can go ahead and create an account with LinkedIn Learning, pay their membership fee for less, and access the same content.
Despite the lack of transparency, the apparent pyramid-like scheming, and the high costs, there are some positive reviews floating around the internet that praise the Six Figure Mentors creators:
At the same time, still many others recognize the Six Figures Mentors scam and have posted their negative reviews that I’ve found around the web:
Personally, I wouldn’t recommend Six Figures Mentors to anyone who truly wants to work hard, stay smart with their investments, and build a business for themselves. However, in my time as a website owner and businesswoman, I have come across a few other affiliate marketing programs that are high-quality and have tremendous success rates that make excellent alternatives.
Authority Hacker is a well-known affiliate marketing site run by a successful marketing professional and a tech-savvy online marketer. Together, the two men have succeeded in creating an actionable online marketing education that delivers simple, step-by-step learning guides.
Full of comprehensive modules, anyone can sign up for their courses and learn more about affiliate marketing and how to apply it to any niche market.
They currently offer two programs: The Authority Site System and Authority Hacker Pro. The first is designed for beginners who are just starting off in affiliate marketing and who may not even have a site yet, while the second is geared towards intermediate to advanced professionals who already have a website up and running.
The Authority Site System costs $997 and comes jam-packed with excellent content that you can take a glimpse at on their website.
You can check out the review I have written on Authority Hacker here.
Commission Hero is noted on their homepage as the #1 Clickbank affiliate in the world. Its cost is the same as Authority Hacker at $997, but it does involve fees for tools and features like Inner Circle.
However, Commission Hero does offer a legitimate business model with a successful leader in place. The courses are simple, with a step-by-step method, and many people have found great success in making more money fast.
Over the course of 12 training modules with more than 40 videos, Commission Hero walks you through lessons in picking the right offers, setting up a landing page, establishing your Facebook presence, and even email marketing. You can take a look for yourself at the link above.
Udemy is a renowned affiliate marketing course site that offers a wide range of options, lessons, and programs. With over 100,000 online video courses, you can find regularly updated content to guide your affiliate marketing career.
What’s awesome about Udemy is that not only can you find courses on affiliate marketing, but you can also explore other areas of business development to expand your field and expertise. And, all the courses range in pricing, so you get to pick and choose what works best for you and your budget.
Scroll through some of the awesome courses at the link to Udemy above.
Six Figures Mentors addresses the needs of learning within affiliate marketing, but it does so by teaching its students how to specifically market their own website and program. If you’re okay with selling the product that you’re using and making money off of it, then check it out. But be aware of specified courses, hidden fees, and extreme costs if you want to achieve overall success.
If this Six Figure Mentors review peaked your interest, check out the website here.
What I consider as a much better alternative is The Authority Site System by Authority Hacker. It is much cheaper and driven by data.
