How To Make Money Online As An Online Juror

Many people are in the same boat of needing to earn extra money fast these days.

They need to think of a quick and easy way to bring in an income so that they could pay their bills.

That’s why I decided to look into how to become an online juror to help you make a little bit of extra cash on the side.

What is an Online Juror?

Most of us are familiar with jury duty. Anyone who is a registered voter and has a valid state ID has probably gone through the jury selection process and possibly even served at least once.

Becoming an online juror is very similar to serving in an in-person jury. However, the cases that you’ll encounter haven’t gone to court yet. Online jurors sit on a mock jury where lawyers are able to practice their case.

During each e-trial, you’ll consider arguments and evidence just as you would while serving in a real jury. Lawyers want online jurors to give them a feel for how a real jury might react to their arguments and whether they can expect a positive outcome for their client.

Your feedback on a case can help legal experts to hone their defence strategy and overall approach. It may even help them to decide which trials are worth taking in the first place.

An online juror can participate in multiple cases, sometimes even on the same day. Typically, they get paid per each verdict, with lengthier trials demanding higher compensation.

Working as a mock juror is an interesting, fun, and intellectually stimulating way to make some extra money. You’ll learn more about local politics and the intricacies of the legal process. You may even pick up healthy habits when it comes to note-taking, critical thinking, peer-to-peer communication, and more.

What Does an Online Juror Do?

As an online juror, you’ll participate in a mock e-trial that operates exactly as it would in a real courtroom

Lawyers present their cases to a handpicked group of people that acts as a jury before wrapping things up with a closing argument. After that, the jury discusses the trial amongst themselves. Eventually, they come up with a verdict of either “guilty” or “not guilty.”

An online juror’s main job is to pick apart a lawyer’s argument and look for any weak spots. Lawyers hire a mock jury so that they can ensure their case is airtight. They’re looking for people who are willing to provide open, honest feedback.

As an online juror, you’ll listen to a lawyer present their case and their client’s argument without interruption. Once they finish, you and the other jurors can convene in a chatroom or video conference call to discuss the details and eventually reach a verdict. This can take anywhere from a few hours to days of discussion.

You don’t necessarily need any training or expertise to become an online juror. Many sites offer a short training session for new subscribers, but other than that, online jurors can usually start working the same day that they sign up for a service.

Screening for Online Jurors

Most lawyers screen online jurors before a mock trial. Some websites will do this for them by making you take a quick questionnaire upon signing up.

The main purpose of these questionnaires is to make sure that you’re not biased against the case in any way. You may be disqualified for having certain affiliations, if you’re an attorney yourself, or if you just don’t fit the specific criteria for jury selection.

Each mock trial will have its own set of requirements for potential online jurors. Before applying to a case, it’s a good idea to check and make sure you qualify to avoid wasting your time.

Requirements to Be an Online Juror

There aren’t many requirements that online jurors have to meet. You may have to provide proof of residence, such as a valid ID, along with proof that you’re over the age of 18 to participate.

You don’t need any type of formal training or certifications to serve on a mock jury. Some websites ask that you complete a short training session before you get started, but it’s often very straightforward, even for those who don’t speak “legalese.”

For the most part, all you really need to become an online juror is access to a fast and reliable internet connection. You also need a working computer or mobile device, preferably one with a camera.

The most stringent requirement that most online jurors come across is geographical. To work a case, you generally have to live in the surrounding area. Lawyers want to ensure that a given venue is right for their clients.

How Much Can You Make as an Online Juror?

Online jurors can make decent money with just a few hours of work. However, it’s a good idea not to treat the gig as a full-time job. The pay isn’t always reliable, especially for those who live in more remote areas.

Compensation generally depends on which website or service is hosting your mock trial. Some companies pay online jurors better than others. However, they tend to have more strict vetting requirements as well.

You can expect to get paid between $10 and $60 for an average case. A short, easy verdict might only pay $5, while cases that go on for hours may demand upwards of $100. In rare cases, you can find mock trials that will pay jurors hundreds of dollars for their time.

For many people, money isn’t the only perk of becoming an online juror. You can also enjoy working a job that’s engaging, flexible, and doesn’t require any long-term commitment.

How Do You Become an Online Juror?

Becoming an online juror is easier than you might think. All you have to do is find a reputable company and complete the registration process. If you meet all qualifications, you’ll be able to start taking on cases immediately.

Most sites will assign you cases to review. Geographic location is important in these assignments because most lawyers want a mock jury representative of who they might face in the courtroom. The venue can have a considerable impact on the outcome of a case.

If you want to find steady work, you need to find a site that offers plenty of cases in your area. This isn’t usually a problem for people living in major cities such as Los Angeles or New York.

People who live in rural areas may have more trouble finding mock juror gigs in their area. Fewer cases tend to pop up in small-town communities.

If you sign up for multiple mock jury services, you may improve your chances of stumbling upon a lucrative case. You need to be persistent and check daily, if not multiple times per day during dry spells.

There are plenty of online services for lawyers and jurors that host mock trials through their platform. If you’re not sure where to turn, we’ll cover our top favorite picks here.

7 Sites Where You Can Get Paid To Be On A Mock Jury:

1.eJury

While eJury pays lower than other sites, it’s one of the easiest to use for beginners. It has a quick and simple sign-up process along with a dedicated “Learn About” section. Here, you can learn everything you need to know about participating in an online mock trial.

eJury will notify you whenever a new opportunity pops up in your area by sending you an automated email. You can accept cases with just the click of a button and access all the materials you need through the website platform.

Depending on the case, you can expect to earn between $5 and $10 per verdict. The company pays through PayPal.

2.JuryTest

The service is geared more towards attorneys than jurors in its setup, but it’s still a good site for those looking to make reliable cash on the side. The application process is relatively simple, though you do have to reveal limited personal information.

After signing up, JuryTest will notify you of any cases in your area via email. You can give feedback through live chat, video, or written surveys depending on whatever’s most convenient.

Payment depends on how long you spend working on a given case. It generally varies between $20 and $50 per trial, though some cases may pay more.

3.JuryTalk

JuryTalk offers mock trials and legal focus groups, giving it a wider scope than similar services. Signing up is simple and enables you to participate in both trials and focus groups if you wish.

JuryTalk can get a little bit more personal in their questionnaires than other mock trial services. It requires you to divulge information such as religious and political affiliation to help attorneys better screen candidates. They pay on par with other similar services.

4.Resolution Research

As the name suggests, this online service offers more research opportunities than just mock trials. They handle market research in all sectors, giving users access to a wide variety of money-making opportunities.

The site’s mock jury recruitment program helps lawyers to find the right online jurors for their trial. As long as you pass fairly strict screening requirements, the service will automatically match you with cases in your area.

Resolution Research pays per each study, and the cost depends on how much time and effort each participant had to spend. Payment can range anywhere between $5 and more than $300 depending on the opportunity.

5.Online Verdict

This service is easy to sign up for, as all they require is proof of age and residency. You don’t have to give up any personal information if you don’t want to.

All cases submitted through the site are summarized by an attorney, making it easy for users to sort through available opportunities. If there’s a case you can work on, you can agree to answer an online questionnaire for cash.

This service pays users via a monthly check. The amount will vary depending on how many verdicts you’ve delivered, but users typically earn between $20 and $60 per trial.

6.Virtual Jury

This site treats mock trials as a legal focus group, encouraging open discourse through voice or video chat. It encourages participants to share honest thoughts and feelings instead of being limited to a multiple-choice questionnaire.

Users are selected at random to participate in cases around their area. If you get chosen, Virtual Jury will notify you by email. If you decide to participate, the site will compensate you based on the case’s timeframe and complexity.

7.SignUpDirect

This service has simple sign-up requirements that make it easy for any U.S. citizen over 18 to participate in paid mock trials. Once you sign up, the site will randomly select you if a case within your area and demographic arises.

Most participant feedback gets sent through multiple-choice questionnaires. Often, cases take a little bit longer than with other sites, usually lasting between five to seven hours on weekdays.

Unlike other mock trial services, SignUpDirect pays participants by the hour. You can earn around $12 hourly working cases, which is higher than the federal minimum wage

Is Becoming an Online Juror Legit?

While it may seem too good to be true, participating in an online jury is a safe and legitimate way to earn some extra cash. Mock trials are organized and operated by real lawyers instead of bots and algorithms.

As long as you take care to ensure the website you choose is legitimate, you shouldn’t have to worry about scammers and cybercriminals. Always investigate the company and read reviews to see honest feedback from current and past users.

That being said, it’s always a good idea to be conscious of online scams and take steps to protect yourself.

One of the biggest red flags to hint at a scam is a mock trial service asking for money upfront. Legitimate websites won’t charge you to become an online juror through hidden subscription or application fees.

As long as you’re careful about who you give your information to, you shouldn’t have to worry about scammers when looking for an online jury gig. It’s generally a safe, quick, and convenient way to increase your monthly paycheck.

What Next?

Becoming an online juror is a fun and interesting way to earn some extra cash without ever having to leave your living room. It takes just minutes to get started, and there are countless opportunities available to pique your interest.

The One Unconventional Investment That Separates The Wealthy From The Poor

The One Unconventional Investment That Separates The Wealthy From The Poor

How the wealthy invest their time (not working for money!) to make money work for them instead.

Studies have shown a 400% increase in productivity since 1960. On the other hand, according to the Economic Policy Institute, the inflation adjusted salary growth for the typical employee is flat or has even declined. This goes to show that a lot of you out there are exhausted, exchanging your valuable time for money when it is crystal clear that working more doesn’t not necessarily, mean making more. When you are working 60-70 hours plus a week for someone else, you don’t have control of what you are doing with your own time, waste your energy away or don’t get to choose who you spend your time with. You just let others dictate how to live your life.

Please, be honest with yourself. Are you truly, I mean truly, happy with your work?

If you answered no or even if you are in doubt, this may be one of the most important pieces of advice you will ever receive in your life.

How do you invest your time?

Currently, you have more time than ever in your hands. We’re in the middle of a global pandemic forcing most to be stuck at home waiting patiently, or shall I say impatiently, for this to end.

With social engagements being limited or non-existent, even the lucky ones that still work have more time in their hands than they used to.

Have you caught yourself being more stressed at the moment even though you have more free time in your hands? That’s understandable. Your mentality has probably shifted from working more to make more money to working more to keep your job.

You might have also experienced what has become known as “Zoom fatigue“. Rather than going to meetings at work, you are now joining video conferencing calls making you even more tired.

Some of you spend your days watching Netflix, which by the way has experienced record growth since the end of March. Not many are using their free time as an opportunity to grow and as a result, they’ll come out of this crisis poorer than ever before.

Stop investing your time working for money.

Most people live paycheck to paycheck feeling a false sense of security. This steady paychek is responsible for the loan they took to go to college to get a high paying job they dislike keeping them engaged for most of the day while leaving their loved ones and the all the things they like in the sidelines. Does this sound familiar?

This approach is problematic however. You can only make money while you work. You basically, have to sell your time to make money. And if you want to make more money, you have to work longer hours exhausting yourself.

Your time and energy are not unlimited. Consequently, your earning potential is limited as well.

If this isn’t a poor investment then, what is? Trading your finite resource of time for money is reflects the mindset of an employee, the poor mindset. The entrepreneur mindset, the wealthy one, on the other hand, where you invest your time in a very different manner.

Separating the wealthy from the poor making money work for them.

Wealthy people never work for money. They work for assets instead.

They make investments and create businesses that generate steady cash flow on a monthly basis involving little to no work on their end. They don’t waste their life away working for money but they wisely use their time learning how to make money work for them. In layman’s terms, the wealthy don’t work for money, they make money work for them.

You may be thinking that obtaining more assets requires working longer and harder. Well, this is not quite the case. This is very different from working for a paychek. The better educated you have become in making money work for you, the less you have to work to obtain high quality assets that provide you passive income even while you are sleeping.

Set goals to make money.

By no means am I saying that the wealthy don’t work. They just work in a different way.

Each year they set goals on how many new assets to acquire. Because high quality assets will generate money for a longer period of time even after the work involved for acquiring them is done.

They gradually build their portfolio of high quality assets while investing in their financial education. Wealthy people are not necessarily born wealthy. Anyone can do this provided they invest their time to grow instead of putting it into a job.

This way they earn passive income making money work for them instead of working for money.

Embrace the mindset of the wealthy today to be wealthy yourself tomorrow.

What are you investing your time in?

Are you investing it in passive income generating assets or are you wasting it away at a corporate job you hate living paycheck to paycheck?

What is really holding you back?

Today, I’d like to empower you to make the first step in investing your time in your financial education and building for your wealthy future through the power of high quality assets.

During these unprecedented times, I know it is hard but I encourage you to wisely invest your time in personal and professional development to be ready to shine when this is all over because opportunity is always present in the midst of crisis as they say.

9 Lessons Learned From ‘Shark Tank’

9 lessons learned from 'Shark Tank'

Do you get as excited as I get watching self-made millionaires and billionaires making entrepreneurs’ life dreams come true on Shark Tank?

Premiering in 2009, Shark Tank became one of the most watched and talked about reality shows in American television. The series revolves around entrepreneurs that create business presentations in hopes of seeking investment for their product or idea. They then pitch their ideas to a panel of investors, also known as “sharks,” in an attempt to seek representation.

If a “shark” is interested in a pitch they can make a “gentleman’s agreement” with the pitcher to further investigate the entrepreneur’s idea or product. In fact, many entrepreneurs have found great success after appearing on Shark Tank. However, if no “shark” opts to back a pitch then the pitcher will walk away from the show empty handed.

Apart from being an award-winning television show with numerous spin-offs in other countries, many viewers have found great inspiration while watching the series. Herein, you will discover 9 lessons that viewers have gained that can be applied to one’s every day personal and professional life.

1.NEVER “UP” A DEAL ONCE A DEAL HAS BEEN MADE

Mark Cuban, one of the main “sharks” on the series made a point in one episode to talk about the importance of greed when success had already been found. In the episode, an entrepreneur made a pitch and got exactly what they asked for from Cuban. However, the entrepreneur immediately began asking for “more” right after the deal was made. Cuban immediately cut the individual short and rejected the entire deal.

Often a person will have a great idea and will pitch their idea and get exactly what they ask for and then feel like they should ask for more. However, as Cuban pointed out in this instance it is best to take exactly what you ask for once a deal has been made. Don’t attempt to “milk” an investor for more just because they showed an initial interest. This could result in a deal being pulled as it sets a precedence that the entrepreneur is going to continue to ask for more even before producing results.

If you acquire an investor for an online business, it is best to start out small and not ask for further investment until the business has proven profitable.

2.THE IMPORTANCE OF NETWORKING

One benefit an entrepreneur has when pitching to the “sharks” on Shark Tank is the fact that they each are connected to other business professionals. Meaning they have a network of professionals they can work with that can potentially assist a person’s business in obtaining more notice.

When setting up an online business it is vitally important to begin networking with other business owners. By doing so a person is more apt to drive additional clients to their own business. This is one of the most important marketing elements of any online business of any size.

3.KNOW YOUR PRODUCT OR SERVICE

When entrepreneurs present their idea to “sharks” they are expected to have an answer to any question they are asked. It is vitally important for you as business owner to be fully knowledgeable about your products or services and be able to instantly supply an answer to a client without hesitation.

The more knowledge you have or appear to have, the more confident your clients or potential clients will have in you and your services.

4.POWER IN PERCEPTION

How do you present yourself and your business? One of the main qualities a “shark” looks for is confidence and reputation. If you present yourself as a well-mannered individual with exceptional knowledge about your business, this will go a long way in gaining the confidence and support of “sharks.” Therefore, it is important to consider the way you present yourself both professionally and personally.

5.THE IMPORTANCE OF SELF-PRESENTATION

How you present yourself to your clients is crucial to the success of your online business. This is very apparent from watching how “sharks” choose who to invest in. Often, an entrepreneur’s idea or product may be weak, but a “shark” will still choose to work with the entrepreneur simply based on the way they present themselves.

You must be confident and must have a passion for what you are selling or are offering. When you are passionate about your products you will make others feel comfortable. This is very important in not only acquiring new clients but also in maintaining those clients you currently have.

6.KEEP AN OPEN EAR

One of the most important things the “sharks” on Shark Tank do is offer their advice. The problem is that many online business owners believe they know everything or think they have the best idea on how to run their business or present their ideas. This is not always the case.

It is very important for you as a business owner to be open to new ideas and to carefully listen and consider ideas presented by others. In the end it is important to ensure the growth of your business even if the idea is not your own. By keeping an open ear, you are apt to learn a great deal and see your business grow.

7.PROVE YOUR COMMITMENT

One of the key attribute’s “sharks” look for is a person that has invested in themselves. If you are looking to acquire investors for your online business, you must be able to show you have invested in your own business. This will prove that you believe in your idea or business to the point where you have done more than just come up with the idea.

Actions do speak louder than words!

8.THE PARTNERSHIP PARADOX

Even if you personally present yourself and your business professionally, you must also consider how your business partners present themselves if you have one. If you have a business partner you will want to be certain they are on the same page as you.

Many “sharks” have turned down deals simply because they don’t have confidence in all those involved in the project. Therefore, it is important to constantly have meetings with your staff to ensure that everyone is presenting your company in the right way.

One bad apple can truly ruin the whole batch!

9.THE MORE FISH IN THE BARREL THE BETTER

One of the main things a business owner can learn from watching Shark Tank is that it is much better to have many “sharks” at your disposal than just one. Consider the fact that the contestants on Shark Tank aren’t presenting their idea to a single person. They are instead presenting their idea to a panel. This allows them to have a better shot of obtaining an investment.

The more options you have when it comes to investors the better your chances will be at obtaining the results you desire. Don’t hesitate to present your ideas not only to your number one choice but also to anyone who may be willing to answer and support your cause.

Put these lessons into action

If you consider these lessons learned from watching Shark Tank, you will quickly be on your way to finding great success with your own online business. You don’t to hear Kevin O’Leary aka ‘Mr Wonderful’ saying “You’re dead to me”, do you?

Starting An Online Business For Dummies

Starting An Online Business For Dummies

Do you have the burning desire to have the freedom to work at home? Read my guide to starting an online business for dummies.

Imagine having the flexibility to work from your couch in your living room or being in the position to make your own schedule. Even better, imagine not having to put up with the long commute to work that drains you only, to attend meetings that do not interest you and report to a boss you might not even get along with.

Is all of this possible?

Yes, it is with affiliate marketing. Your success is in your own hands. You are fully remote and passionately engaged with running a passive income generating online business.

But how can you work at home with affiliate marketing and how do you make sure it is profitable?

Here is my guide to starting an online business for dummies.

There is much information about affiliate marketing out there that knowing how to start might feel difficult. Perhaps you are overwhelmed. Below, is a simple, yet effective, step by step guide to help you start an online business from home with affiliate marketing.

Build your audience

Your goal is to introduce products, digital or physical, to consumers. To achieve this, you need to build an audience of consumers that trust and listen to you.

There are numerous ways to do this. The most common one is through a website, an authority website, or blog. You need to focus on providing your users with useful content. Some examples are blog articles or product reviews. The only way to reliably build an audience is to offer amazing content. Another way to build an audience is to build a solid following through social media like Facebook and Instagram and tap into your audience to promote the products of your partners.

Make sure you put effort to set up. Imagine this as your initial investment. If you do this right, it will repay you many times over later down the line.

When you promote your content to you audience, keep in mind that you want to get consumers to click on your affiliate links.

Find products that you like

Once you have built a solid audience that knows and trusts you, your next step is to find suitable products to promote. Look at the products and services you already love using for example. If you love them so much, chances are that your audience will trust you and love them too.

These products need to be highly relevant to your audience otherwise, affiliate marketing won’t be a success.

Try not to be generic. Focus on content you are passionate about and possess great knowledge on. You can then, promote products that are relevant to your content and specific to your audience so that they will want to buy them.

Find great partners

Having identified your products, you then, need to partner with the respective sellers. In some occasions, the sellers get in touch with you to see if you would be interested in promoting their products as an affiliate, if your audience is similar to their base of customers. Otherwise, you can simply get in touch with them instead. Introduce yourself, tell them all about your audience and let them know you can become an affiliate.

An alternative option is to use an affiliate marketing program like the Amazon Associates Program or Commission Junction.

You can then, earn a commission from your sales coming from your affiliate links.

Advertise to your audience

The final step is to bring everything together and start making money using affiliate marketing.

When you advertise your products to your audience, you promote your content that includes your affiliate links and they click on these links to buy your products. Every time you make a sale, you earn a percentage.

Final thoughts

Work at home can be a dream come true with affiliate marketing. It allows you to generate passive income from your couch with little investment and a lot of freedom. Don’t get me wrong, this is not a quick fix and requires a lot of effort and hard work, but it all pays off. Hope you found my guide to starting an online business for dummies useful.

How To Avoid This Common Mistake When Starting A Side Hustle

How To Avoid This Common Mistake When Starting A Side Hustle

Avoid this side hustle mistake.

Starting your side hustle is the smartest decision you will ever make. There is nothing more exciting than knowing that you have some extra income to supplement your main income. However, the problem is most people come up with an idea but never get started. Maybe it’s fear of the unknown. Well, here is something that you need to know, no one made it to the top without taking risks. If you need to become successful, you have to take some risks and plunge into the unknown. People that have business ideas have so much potential. Most however, will never become successful because it is only a small percentage of them that get to implement their business ideas. This goes to show that the common mistake that potential entrepreneurs make when starting a side hustle is that they don’t get started.

Reasons for starting a side hustle

The reasons for starting a side hustle are a bit obvious. For most people it is all about finding financial freedom. Apart from this, some people start a side hustle so that they can pursue their passion. This is among the most fulfilling roads anyone that has a passion outside their main job can take. Others start a side hustle so that they make use of the time freedom they gain. It could be that you work for just a few hours during the day and have the rest of the day to just fool around. A side hustle then becomes one way to spend your free time while making money.

How to avoid this common side hustle mistake

Don’t be a talker, be a doer. Talking too much about what you intend to do as a side hustle might even diminish the psyche to do it. You need to fall into the category of people that exploited their potential rather than sat on their potential. There are certain things that you need to do so that you can avoid this common mistake. You need to have a side hustle strategy. Remember you are entering a field that is completely new to you hence, you need to know what the do’s that will help you succeed with your side job are while still keeping your main job.

Here are some strategies that are bound to work for you.

1.Profitability

A side hustle should make you money, this is your side earnings. Therefore, you need to go with a profitable idea. You need to be sure of how viable the idea is. As much as there are risks involved when stepping into such a zone, you need to note that the risks need to be minimal. Don’t run with an idea with which it will take you ages to make money. Invest in research and establish what other people are doing for their side earnings and investigate whether their ideas are working for them. Also, there are so many business consultants who can advise you on how to consolidate your expectations versus the reality.

2.Start an online business instead of a brick and mortar business

If you have a full time job, your side earnings would most likely come from an online business. This will be your platform, your online office through which you will advertise your products and services, interact with clients and take their orders, all online. At times your main job may provide you with a comfort zone but this is not enough to fulfil your needs and desires.

3.Set realistic goals and a viable vision

Most business ideas die due to failure in setting realistic goals and a viable vision. Know where you want to go with your business. Are you looking for something long-term that can eventually turn into a main hustle or just a quick fix that is not sustainable? Ask yourself these questions because this is the way you will get to establish some level of seriousness into your business. The goals help you to establish what you need to do every single day to get to where you want your side hustle to take you and that is where your ultimate vision lies.

4.Treat your side hustle with the level of seriousness you give to your main hustle

Always, remember that for you to make great levels of return, you will need to focus. Give this side hustle the same focus and attention that you give your main hustle. If you follow a schedule in your main job, create a schedule for your side hustle as well. Establish what you need to do, plan when you need to do it and how to do it. Most people tend to do their side hustles casually whenever they feel like it. This way you would lose customer loyalty. Clients who don’t trust you on the onset will not want to engage with you. Such behaviour makes clients doubt your competence.

5.Identify what you are good at

You can be a business professional, social media enthusiast or lawyer but there is something special about you when you try selling something to a potential client. You are a natural marketer that can make anyone buy anything. Your main job shouldn’t pull you back. So many people are now earning money through online marketing. Anyone can do it even without having prior experience. You can use this natural gift to earn extra money and eventually, make money that will provide you and your loved ones a comfortable lifestyle of freedom. Turning your interests into a side hustle will help you escape from the corporate rat race and take back control of your life.

Avoid this very common mistake of never starting that side hustle. Just get started. Pick what you are good at or enjoy doing. Start now, start today. Over time you will see that the business is gaining momentum and you can make the earnings you desire and create your freedom lifestyle you deserve.

Hopefully, I have now given you the motivation to get started with your side hustle. If you feel you are struggling with anything else when thinking about starting a side hustle, comment below to let me know to see how I can help you.

How To Make Money On YouTube Without Making Videos

How To Make Money On YouTube Without Making Videos

Making Money On YouTube Without Making Videos

When I closed my brick-and-mortar business, I spent far too much time chasing ways to make a living online. I experienced freedom and flexibility in owning my own business, and I wasn’t about to give that up. Maybe you have that same dream.

I’d long been a fan of watching videos on YouTube, but never put much thought into creating content myself. After all, I didn’t have any experience making videos — and isn’t that a necessary component of finding success on the platform?

Actually, not necessarily. The number of YouTubers making a five-figure income increases by 50% from year to year. Surprisingly, not all of those folks make their own videos.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to make money on YouTube without making videos.

How Much Do YouTubers Make?

Sure, everyone uses YouTube, but how much money can you make? Isn’t the market saturated? These are excellent questions, and yes, even though there are 50 million people (as of 2018) creating content on the popular site, there is room for you.

An audience exists for your content; it’s just a matter of reaching them and retaining their views.  Making money on YouTube isn’t as complicated and magical as it sounds. Once you know the formula, you will be able to count yourself as one of the people successfully making a living from this diverse YouTube world, catching the attention of its 30 billion daily viewers. The amount of money a YouTuber makes depends on a lot of factors. While there is no set amount a YouTuber is guaranteed to make, it is possible to earn a few hundred dollars per month to millions of dollars per year. It all depends on strategy, content quality, and planning.

How To Make A YouTube Channel

You might be surprised how simple it is to start your own YouTube channel for your business or brand. As you begin, you will need to decide whether to create a personal YouTube channel or a business channel.

If creating income is an essential aspect of your efforts, a business or brand channel is the way to go. To get started, visit the YouTube website and complete the following steps:

  • Sign in to YouTube with your Google email account
  • Select your profile image in the top right-hand corner
  • From the dropdown menu, select “create a channel.”
  • Follow the pop-up instructions at “get started.”
  • Name your channel
  • Enter the brand account name on the following page
  • Hit “Save.”  You’re IN!

Sound impossibly simple? (I know, right?) Now comes the fun part — using your creativity to establish a presence on YouTube that distinguishes you from other brands. What do you want to say, and how will you say it?

Offering content that creates value for viewers is necessary to make money on YouTube as a non-video content creator. As you develop your content and build your business (or brand), keep in mind that it is vital to have a business strategy in mind.

Expand Your Reach

The more you plan, the better you’ll do on your new channel. This may require you to branch out beyond YouTube to market yourself. Even if you’re not sure how to get started, there are a wide range of tutorials on linking your YouTube brand to other content streams and marketing endeavors.

As we explore how YouTube and different social media mesh, you will most likely find that these varying business and marketing methods fit together quite naturally. Creativity and business savvy are a beautiful couple!

Making Money On YouTube Without Making Videos Tutorial

So, you know the viewers are out there. You know there is money to be made. You have your channel built, you have some ideas, but then comes the realization, “I don’t want to stand in front of a camera and make videos!”

It may seem as though the only way to make money on YouTube is to get in front of a camera and entertain. Truthfully, not all of us are entertainers, and most people would rather die than participate in public speaking.

Fear not, new YouTuber, you can learn how to make money on YouTube without making videos or becoming an Internet celebrity. YouTube is diverse enough for you to find a niche without needing to perform.

Choose a Target Keyword

A crucial part of getting noticed on YouTube is using the best keywords that will show up on the search engines for your business or brand. There are many ways to do this. A simple way to get started is to think about what you are trying to accomplish with this content and work backward to identify the keywords that will lead viewers to your content.

Many free resources are available to assist with learning keyword use.

Another idea for establishing a solid keyword list is to ask around. Ask people who are in-the-know about your business, stakeholders, clients, colleagues, and friends who understand what you are trying to build.

As you start to mine the minds of those in your circle, you will come up with a diverse list of words and phrases that speak the messages of your brand. This action will help create what is known as a ‘seed list.’

Know The Questions

Explore the questions prospective viewers might have to gather ideas about what they might ask of you (with your given expertise). That information can help you develop some wording that can be adapted into keywords for your content.

Keywords are essential because that is how your viewers will find you to begin with, and your content will keep them watching your channel. During this keyword research phase of your channel building, be sure to check out relevant competitors.

See What Others Are Doing

Checking out competitors doesn’t mean you are going to copy their style or mimic their content. It can help you understand their brand to differentiate your own and learn what may or may not be working for other YouTubers.

As you determine the topics that will be relevant for your brand, be sure the keywords you are compiling make sense with your content. We’ve all clicked on links that take us to content that has nothing to do with what we were looking for, so frustrating, right? Don’t do that to your viewers. Consider it the Golden Rule of keywords.

Republish Creative Commons Licensed Videos

Try not to let the legalese-sounding verbiage get you rattled. Creative Commons Licensed videos are nothing more than a fancy way of saying, ‘content that you can’t get into legal trouble for using it.’

YouTube Help offers detailed guidance about Creative Commons licensing.

Anyone who creates original content on YouTube can mark the content Creative Commons, which enables others to use the content but allows the creator to retain copyright. Others who use the content need to abide by the terms of the license. If you have content that is not 100% original, you cannot mark it as Creative Commons, as someone else has ownership of that material.

As a creator, you have access to all those Creative Commons videos. There were 4 million Creative Commons videos of 2012 and even more in the past eight years, as YouTube has grown. That’s a lot of free material for you to repurpose and an excellent way for you to create a revenue stream.

Get Maximum Traffic

Think about your YouTube channel as a product. If you were trying to get lots of people to pay attention to and buy your product, you would have to use different types of  marketing strategies to reach your consumers.

To grow your channel, you will need to establish an audience. So, how do you drive traffic to your site? A few digital marketing skills can take you a long way when it comes to YouTube. Here’s what to focus on:

  • Invite people to subscribe. At the close of each video, invite viewers to “like and subscribe.” When viewers subscribe to your channel, you are establishing a built-in audience who already appreciates your content. The greater your subscriber list, the more credence your channel has, which entices even more viewers.
  • Create content regularly. When viewers see that you are consistent in content development, they are more likely to invest time viewing your channel periodically and subscribing.
  • Collaborate with other YouTubers. Everyone who has a YouTube channel is in the same situation needing viewers and subscribers to make money. Creating a collaborative project can be mutually beneficial and drive traffic to both sites.
  • Advertise on other social media platforms. YouTube is a form of social media. The same viewers who are tuning in to your channel are also using various other social media, such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Advertising on other social media sites is a great way to tap into viewers who may also choose to share your content as your brand grows.

Maximize traffic through widespread social network presence, either manually or through a management company like this one

Monetize Your Videos

When you start your YouTube channel with your Google account, you automatically have access to the platform Adsense. Set up your Adsense account with the help of this tutorial, which shows helpful step-by-step instructions.

Adsense tutorial from Online Business Realm can simplify the process.

Monetizing your video requires an ad-friendly format. YouTube Help explains the different messaging types you may notice on your videos to let you know whether your video is monetized, limited, ineligible, or entirely on. Creating ad-friendly videos can help increase monetization, which means more opportunity for your brand’s growth and more money for you.

Another way to attract visitors to your YouTube channel is to create a blog linked to it. The more avenues you can start to draw viewers to your channel, the greater the amount of interest and revenue you are likely to create.

If you create content that is attractive to advertisers, your content is more likely to earn better monetization rates. The process requires a delicate balance between developing material that promotes your brand and appeals to advertisers.

How Many Subscribers Do You Need To Make Money On YouTube?

It takes 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of views within the first year to qualify for the Partners Program. YouTube Help offers specific guidance for content creators on different ways to earn money, based on standards that YouTube established that hold channels accountable for quality content.

YouTube Help offers five methods of making money on your channel in the Partner Program.

While there is no specific amount of money a channel is guaranteed to make, there are estimates based on the typical rates-per-click. A YouTuber can anticipate around $18 per 1,000 ad views and about $5 per 1,000 content views

When you begin to use the many avenues for advertising, establishing your brand, merchandising, and marketing your channel, the traffic to your site will grow, and so will your revenue.

So, how many subscribers do you need to make money on YouTube? Not quite as many as you might think. If you have a video with 10,000 views, you’ll make $50. While that might not sound like much, it adds up over time if you create a lot of content.

Is Making Money On YouTube Hard?

In these uncertain times, self-employment never looked so good. But is it hard to make money on YouTube? The answer is no, it’s not difficult, but it will require some out-of-the-box thinking and strategizing:

  • Always be on the lookout for ways to market your channel
  • Create content that you feel good about, that offers value to viewers
  • Use tools like keywords, adsense and monetization to draw in subscribers

Remember, it takes time. Overnight wealth from YouTube is impossible, but with a solid strategy and ad-friendly, valuable content, you will start to see your income increase. If you play your cards right, you can become a high-ranking YouTuber and earn a lot of money.

What Next?

YouTube is not only a venue for people who want to be in front of a camera. Now that you know how to make money on YouTube without making videos, you can construct an entire business with minimal overhead. Even better, you can earn without directly competing with the top internet celebrities.

Use the resources available to you online and among your peers to build your YouTube brand.  Create a broader viewer base by coordinating blogs, podcasts, and monetizing your work. Before you know it, you can create engaging content that attracts views and earns significant revenue.

How To Earn Money From Home Without Any Investment

laptop, business man, from above

Earn money from home without any investment.

There was a time when making money online simply wasn’t feasible, and so many people had trouble in the eve of the internet trying to make a living through just that. It was often seen as simply supplementary income, prompting people to put on their uncomfortable ties and drive to their day job.

In 2020, it’s more than doable to make a respectable income online, and the best way to achieve this goal is through affiliate marketing. There are many benefits that set apart this business as one of the best to utilize in the modern markets. These include a wide variety of companies to choose from, effective communication regarding how they want you to market their products, and a comprehensive understanding of how to utilize tools such as social media to fully implement affiliate marketing skills. One of the obvious benefits includes being your own boss and enjoying your own schedule that is stifled by the demands of a company you drive to every day. You gain the power to earn money from home, and will benefit from the sales of other people’s products.

No Investment necessary

With this style of making money online from the comfort of anyone’s home, you can accomplish as much as you want throughout a day. Getting involved with companies doesn’t require a substantial startup fee to implement the business successfully. Now, there may be certain exceptions, but generally speaking it’s more than possible to implement effective strategies with no cost to you. Applying for these affiliate programs is a simple process for most businesses, and they guide you through every step of the way.

One of the most popular affiliate programs stems from the use of Amazon. Their application process is comprehensive and fast, and you can get started making money for them almost immediately.

Choosing multiple income streams within the marketing community is important to see the numbers go up. The more companies you’re an affiliate for, the more profit you will make in the long haul. Applying and being a successful affiliate marketer takes skill, time and patience to achieve. One of the main draws of an online business would be the “you gotta spend money to make money” motto is thrown out the window.

Affiliate marketing

Referring someone to a particular product or service includes the process of referring someone to a product through the use of social media platforms and advertising websites. Developing a traffic flow through ads can also entail the process of spreading the news about a commodity you’re promoting. In the modern age, companies are desperate to make their online presence more known and accessible. They can’t do the job on their own, so they hire people to refer prospective customers to their website. If the customer makes a purchase based on the link or video you provided, then the affiliate marketer gets a cut of the profit for the sale. This straight forward model has been implemented for a while now, but with the increased maturity of the internet, it’s now easier than ever to get involved with one of these programs and start making money!

When you earn money from home, it’s still a true business, requiring the effort and alertness that comes with running a successful operation. It’s not without long nights of the grind and working to make a profit. However, you have the immense power to adjust how long you work, when you apply the necessary principles, and which companies you will work for.

How to earn money from home the smart way

There are diverse ways to make money online, and many of them require a substantial amount of startup capital. It’s long been believed that you have to invest money before you can make money. We are living in a remarkable time though when affiliate marketing is at it’s peak, giving amazing opportunities for all those who are willing to listen and apply their knowledge. Caring about the craft is very important when dealing with an online business. Being dedicated to consistent work is what will determine the level of profit. There are some who run an online business on the side, and others who make a full time living from just affiliate marketing, increasing their range of earnings as the years go on.

Nevertheless, it has stood the test of time as the best way to effectively make money online at your own command. In a sense, there is still a boss in play, but you’ll never have to leave the home and can continue to make as much as needed. Everything is comprehensive and there are many resources available for those who are just starting out in the industry.

Dedication to the work

Results don’t happen over night in business, and that’s equally true for an online business. Earning money from home with affiliate marketing is no joke, and most can expect to earn a lot for close to a full time schedule and above. Some dedicate themselves beyond the call of their employers and take on many other affiliate programs to earn double their amounts. This is for more advanced and experienced marketers who can juggle many projects at once and is where some seek to be in the future.

For beginners, it’s best to take on something manageable at first to get a feel for things. Just because you don’t have to spend money to make money by becoming an affiliate, doesn’t mean it won’t cost you time. There’s a price for everything, and time is money in this particular online work.

Having a good work ethic will earn a marketer a lot of money, and it is a viable career path that is shaping to be one of the most lucrative businesses for making money at home. Out of all the strategies available, this one is the task that most people with heart and dedication will carry out to fruition with continued results!

business, empire, money

Affiliate marketing pays off

In the end the old cliche rings true, hard work pays off for an online business!

At least in this case there is no manual labor for a fixed amount. Through this program, one is offered the freedom of increasing their pay without being overworked or increasing responsibility.

Often times when the stress levels are down, the human mind can push itself further beyond the limits of a traditional work place. The demand is less, and you can take breaks whenever needed without the permission of a superior. Much about earning money from home constitutes training the inner voice to continually work a full work week to reap the benefits of full time affiliate work. Tackling the affiliate programs will be rewarding and a rich experience full of new challenges, but with practice and hard work it can turn into an exceptionally viable source of income with consistency.

Share this article with people you know who may be interested in trying out affiliate marketing. They won’t regret the encouraging words of insight regarding the business, and the many benefits to working from a comfortable environment.

Udemy vs Udacity Review What Most Users Prefer

Education has changed with the times, and now, the full spectrum of knowledge is available to you online, on your own time. It’s incredible, isn’t it? Platforms like Udacity and Udemy offer a new path toward achieving your goals and boosting your career.

Here’s what you need to know to choose the right one in the Udemy vs Udacity matchup.

See Udacity

Udemy vs Udacity Review here is what most users prefer.

Things To Consider Before Buying An Online Course

Online courses do offer a more convenient and often more accessible way to gain the critical knowledge you need to change careers or begin a new hobby. However, there are a few things you must consider before going this route.

  • How do you want to learn? — Some platforms are synchronous, meaning you must show up at a particular time. Others are asynchronous, meaning there’s a broader framework to the learning, but “when” it happens is up to you.
  • Do you have the right software? — Some courses are simple videos and pdf files, while others require the specialized software of the field (think Tableau for data visualization, for example). You need access to this software to complete the course.
  • Do you need lifetime access? — Some courses are available for a short time. Others provide lifetime access to course materials, videos, and all updates that come with future iterations of the course.
  • What format is best? — Online courses used to be collections of PDFs. Now, many online courses offer robust, interactive, multimedia presentations. Ensure you have the right software and that the format suits your learning style.

All these questions ensure that you have the right course for your learning style and that you won’t be frustrated by the delivery. With online access, lessons come in all shapes and sizes. Many will update with new information and revamped formats in the future. Ensure you have the access and methodology you need.

Presenting Udacity

Udacity began as an experiment in online education. Would users take and find value in more in-depth courses and course tracks? The answer is yes.

Udacity offers online courses arranged in tracks. It was one of the first platforms to provide something called a “nano-degree” or a course series for mastery of a specific niche topic. Where sites like Udemy offer a range of single courses and course tracks, Udacity focuses more on the nano-degree concept.

Udacity offers a few different pricing models, but nearly all the courses have term limits. You’ll have a set amount of time to finish the course, or you’ll lose access. If you complete the course, you’ll maintain access for future reference.

Udacity Pros:

  • Good variety of STEM subjects
  • Nano-degree focused
  • Credentialed with good record keeping
  • Good community and mentor support

Udacity Cons:

  • No support for free courses
  • Time limits on courses or you lose access
  • Record keeping and certifications vary from course to course

Features & Benefits

Let’s take a look at what you can expect from a course or course series from Udacity.

Nanodegree Tracks

Udacity’s entire MO is the concept of a targeted training option for students who don’t want a full-time degree but need more than a course or two to succeed with goals or job applications.

Udacity offers courses separately, of course, but the biggest draw is the degree track. Sometimes called a micro-degree, nano-degrees are a series of several courses that build on each other to create mastery of a single, targeted subject.

Udacity’s nano-degrees center primarily around technology tracks such as artificial intelligence, but you can also find business subjects and a new career section designed to help you with the job search itself. These skill sections offer record-keeping and official certification you can use to send to an employer.

For example, the artificial intelligence track offers courses in AI programming with python, computer vision, and deep reinforcement learning. These courses build technical expertise in working with AI systems, all in a cohesive track model.

Mentorship

When you sign up for paid courses, Udacity provides instructor feedback and mentorship at varying levels depending on the course track. Their track record is good for timeliness and attention, allowing students to ask questions and receive clarification despite the online model.

The courses also have thriving communities of like-minded students waiting to share community knowledge and expertise. In quite a few of the courses, you’ll have projects to complete in groups, expanding your network and your knowledge.

This type of mentorship is a sharp turn from other free massive online course structures in which you complete recorded materials but don’t have the chance to answer questions or receive feedback. Plus, the slightly smaller community of Udacity vs Udemy could provide more targeted instructional feedback for students.

Credentials

The courses do offer record-keeping and official certification. Once you complete the course with satisfactory progress, you’ll be able to send the certificates to potential or current employers or use them for your portfolio/resume.

These credentials are recognized by a variety of sources and offer more than just pass/fail. Your employer will be able to see course standards and requirements and see how your performance measured up.

Many of the courses also require real-world experience, using projects and problem solving, portfolios, and other educational tools to record your learning evolution. The arc could be useful as you navigate your career path or seek to grow at your current employment position.

Portfolio and Record-Keeping

One unique capability available on the Udacity platform is the ability to build a portfolio. Your courses and projects are trackable and easy to send to potential employers. You won’t worry about whether your employer works on a particular program or computer type. Everything is available with a simple link.

This also makes it easier to provide proof of satisfactory completion and showcase your talents or new skills to current and future employers. It’s more than just an online certificate; it’s a track record of your learning evolution all in one, easy to access place.

While other platforms can sometimes make it harder to showcase a track of mastery, Udacity’s focus on nano-degrees takes a different approach. You’ll have exactly what you need to bolster your resume or provide documentation for continual learning and professional development.

Content Quality

Udacity’s courses are quality controlled and offer deep insights into content areas, particularly in technology. There’s a pretty vast course catalog, but you’ll be able to see the credentials of the course creator and instructors to guide you.

The content for free courses is the same high quality as the paid courses, aside from mentorship. You won’t have access to the course instructor with free classes, but the content is a similar depth and consistency no matter what you pay for it.

In the beginning, Udacity didn’t offer as big of a catalog as other course platforms, including Udemy. Still, they’ve found their niche with technology nano-degrees and expanded at lightning speed.

The courses offer different delivery methods, allowing students with various learning preferences to get the most out of their experiences taking the course. These aren’t your garden variety PDFs; you’ll get dynamic course material to make the most of your learning trajectory.

Cost

Udacity’s nano-degrees are a more significant investment than something like Udemy, where the course platform prioritizes standalone or one-off courses. Where Udemy has a variety of courses hovering around the $10 mark, Udacity’s tracks can be investments of up to several hundred dollars.

The difference lies in support. When you invest in Udacity, you’re investing in more help, mentorships, and greater access to instructors. It’s an essential part of your course experience, especially in Udacity’s main field of technology. Mentorships can provide that hands-on experience required of technical fields that need both knowledge and working expertise.

See Udacity

Subject Matter

Udacity’s most significant restriction is the subject matter. With less than 50 nano-degree track options available, it’s a smaller platform than some more famous options like Coursera. However, that niche experience provides a reliable foundation of knowledge for those looking specifically for tech.

At the moment, it provides some of the most cutting edge subject matter employers are looking for — think AI, data science, cloud computing, and autonomous systems. If you’re making the career switch to technology, this is definitely the platform for engagement and mentorship in this field.

Time Commitment

Udacity isn’t a one-off course, so you’ll need to block off more time to complete them. The tracks typically take one to three months to complete, assuming you have around ten hours per week to devote to completing your course assignments.

If you’re looking for something you can take as a smaller commitment, Udemy might be a better solution. For thoroughness, however, Udacity’s course structure operates more like a traditional higher education class.

Social Proof

The proof Udacity is a quality platform for professionals looking to further their careers is all over the internet. Here’s what happy Udacity customers have to say about the experiences and value they’ve gotten from taking Udacity’s nano-degree tracks.

These reviews come from all over and note Udacity’s track record for ease of use and guidance within the platform. The hands-on approach seems to work well with most learners.

Alternatives

Let’s take a look at a few of Udacity’s biggest competitors to see the differences. You may find one of these fits your unique learning needs a little more closely.

Udemy

Udemy’s primary focus is on a wide range of single courses designed to teach you whatever you’ve wanted to learn. The format, cost, and delivery of these courses can vary wildly, but there’s really nothing you’d like to know that isn’t available with Udemy.

The upfront investment is much smaller, but you don’t get the same hands-on approach that you would with many of Udacity’s nano-degrees. Plus, Udemy’s courses are designed to target a wide variety of subjects; putting them together in a logical track is more your job than the platform’s.

Udemy offers:

  • Wide range of subjects
  • Lower entry investments including many more free courses
  • Once you purchase, you have the course no matter what

Udacity offers:

  • Nano-degrees
  • Mentorship options
  • Accountability of class deadlines

Treehouse

Treehouse is a unique tech-focused platform designed to bring more general coding and development skills to your door. It provides a subscription-based model, $19.99 per month after a seven-day free trial.

Treehouse is a self-paced option with no portfolio choices like Udacity, but you can receive feedback for a certain number of course projects per month. It’s geared towards beginners in the tech field and allows you to work at your own pace on as many courses as you like.

Treehouse offers:

  • Monthly subscription model
  • General coding and introduction courses
  • Self-pacing

Udacity offers:

  • Deep development skills (think AI or data engineering)
  • One on one tech mentorship
  • Nano-degree tracks

Codecademy

If you’ve ever wanted to learn multiple coding languages and play around with their capability, Codecademy is a dream come true. This option is mostly free, allowing you to run through tutorials, whether you’re a beginner or picking up your next coding language.

The pro option provides a more tailored experience with feedback and course tracks, but none of that is necessary if you’re just learning. You could spend years on Codecademy and never need more than the free account.

Codecademy offers:

  • Tutorials 12 common programming languages
  • Robust free account
  • Optional pro account for customization

Udacity offers:

  • Tracks for deep, cutting edge programming
  • Official certifications
  • More robust mentorship options

What Next?

Udacity offers a wonderfully tailored program for people seeking something more than just one-off courses but not ready or willing to pursue full-time graduate work. You can learn a variety of cutting edge tech tracks, including things many high demand subjects.

The clear and precise degree tracks make this a go-to platform for anyone looking for official certification portfolios to send to potential employers or to advance careers within a current workplace. Although the cost is higher than some online platforms, it’s well within reach compared to graduate degree tracks.

Use Udacity to advance your career in cutting edge topics or to build skills in business. The platform will help see you through.

Why Are Brick And Mortar Businesses Failing

WHY ARE BRICK AND MORTAR BUSINESS FAILING

The real truth: Why are brick and mortar businesses failing and what to do instead.

Aspiring entrepreneurs should start an online business instead.

Entrepreneurship can be a very rewarding career choice. Many entrepreneurs have succeeded opening a brick and mortar business in the past. But with how things are today, brick and mortar businesses are not doing as well. Not to mention many are failing. An owner of a failing brick and mortar business feels stressed, worried and sad. Worried about covering expenses, keeping the business alive, the never ending work hours. Stressed from sky rocketing expenses and little to no revenue. Sad when the brick and mortar business fails crashing the entrepreneurial dream. As a result, aspiring entrepreneurs can be intimidated by the existential threat brick and mortar businesses face. But what if I told you, there is a way to be successful as an entrepreneur without the headache of owning a brick and mortar business.

You don’t need to have employees, an office or own product to start an online business and be successful.

There are several reasons why brick and mortar businesses are not working anymore:

Online competition

The internet keeps evolving. As a result, more and more people have access to products and services they never had access to before. So, it makes sense that online businesses are growing. Online shopping can be done from the comfort of your home. Customers have access to a wider variety of goods online than can be found in a brick and mortar store and without leaving their house. They can avoid disappointing trips to the store where they do not even find what they need. As a consequence, brick and mortar business have started becoming redundant.

Physical location expenses

Buying or leasing a location to use as a storefront can be expensive. As it is not the only expense involved. You need to pay for service charges, taxes, utilities, cleaning, maintenance to name a few additional expenses.

Hiring Employees

If a store owner expects their store to grow, then they know they will eventually, have to hire employees. That means they will have to pay a salary and provide benefits to the employees. The cost aspect of hiring an employee, is not the only drawback. An employee needs to be onboarded, trained and supervised on an ongoing basis. This involves a cost both in monetary and time terms.

Why online businesses is a better option than brick and mortar businesses

Nothing is more stressful than coming home after a long day at work or school and still having to go out to the store. Driving through horrible traffic to a crowded store. Finally, getting to the aisle only, to find out that product they want is out of stock. Instead of this, people turn to online shopping. Customers can sit at home, avoiding terrible traffic and get everything they need online. Shipped right to their front door.

Business owners no longer have to pay for expensive rent or high mortgage rates. They no longer have to keep up with the maintenance of the brick and mortar store or pay for utilities and cleaning. They no longer have to hire employees. Instead, owners of failing brick and mortar business can switch to a fully online business and work remotely using their laptop enjoying freedom and flexible work hours. You can even work from home in your pyjamas or the coffee shop down the street for example. Any location can be your office. No more wasting valuable time driving through traffic to get to work being stressed. Online business owners can work whenever they need to. Their workday is under their own control. Furthermore, their pool of customers is no longer limited to the residents of their town or whoever happens to be traveling through. An online business can reach anyone at any time. There are almost no limits. Stress is limited as you no longer need to worry about keeping stock onsite to meet demand. Online store owners do not have to worry about keeping everything in stock. Imagine that a brick and mortar business sells shoes. They have a selection of shoes. But they do not know what customers want. So they have to keep a certain number of each pair of shoes in stock for anyone who comes in. But if they sold their shoes online, they would not have to worry about keeping a certain number of shoes in stock in a physical location. That is why more and more brick and mortar business owners are switching to online businesses.

The are many benefits involved with owning an online business instead of a brick and mortar business. They include working from literally, anywhere, being location independent, and at any time you want making your own work schedule. You can even automate your online business and make money while you sleep. You don’t need to have employees, an office or even your own product to start an online business and be successful. You can now better understand why brick and mortar businesses are failing and replaced by online businesses instead. Aspiring entrepreneurs are choosing to go online in order to avoid all the unnecessary risks and expenses and reap all the benefits.

What is your brick and mortar business story?

If you are a brick and mortar store owner who is struggling with their store or this article relates to you in anyway, maybe you shut down your store already, then please leave a comment below to share your brick and mortar business story with us. I personally, used to own a gym in Central London which, I had to shut down due to the coronavirus. You see owning a brick and mortar business that generates no revenue as it has been forced to shut down, while having to pay rent, employee salaries and benefits, utilities and other expenses no longer makes any sense. Starting an online business instead was the best decision I could have ever made!

7 Social Distancing Activities To Improve Mental Health

7 Social Distancing Activities To Improve Mental Health

Best social distancing activities to keep yourself in the right state of mind.

Social distancing is a term that many people have come to know and understand more and more throughout the past couple of weeks because of the dangerous and deadly coronavirus. It has many people confused, scared, and unsure of how to behave and act. Of course, they have to keep six feet apart from each other. When they go to the grocery store, they have to stand in line with that same distance. It is causing a tremendous amount of uncertainty for people out there. They are wondering if this is going to be the new normal and how long they will be able to keep it up. They want to interact and connect with people. However, as with anything in life, it is important to adapt to the situation and make the most out of it. No one likes what is going on right now as it is causing disconnect between human beings. When they are around each other, they are scared to get too close or approach their fellow men and women. As mentioned, it is important to adapt and roll with the punches. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Because of this, you have to make sure you are feeling positive in your mindset to charter the water of these unprecedented times. It is why you need to come up with fun and creative social distancing activities to keep yourself in the right state of mind.

7 Social Distancing Activities To Improve Mental Health

1 Pick up a good book

While you might have to practice social distancing at the moment, you can always pick up a good book to get you through these challenging times. When you are invested in a book, you completely forget about all of your worries, troubles, and fears when it comes to the coronavirus. You are lost in it and captivated in the characters and their various plights. If you have been putting off reading, you owe it to yourself and your mental health to pick up a number of books, as there is no telling how long many stay-at-home orders will be in place.

2 Get lost in the magic of movies

Do you love movies? If so, there is no time like the present to get lost in the magic of the cinema. There are plenty of streaming services out there. Many of them are offering 30-day free trials to help those that are stuck inside because of the coronavirus. Much like books, there might be a show out there you have always wanted to binge-watch. Now, you have all of this free time on your hands to watch as many episodes of the show as possible. Once again, this is about the state of your mental health. If you can’t be around people, you have to keep your brain sharp and you have to stay involved in as many activities, hobbies, and interests as possible. The world is your oyster indoors despite what is happening outside.

3 Call up an old friend

You can also call up an old friend. If you or your friend don’t feel comfortable meeting in person, there is no reason why you can’t get together over the phone with FaceTime and catch up on life. This might be a friend you have wanted to reconnect with for a long time, but because life has gotten in the way, you have lost in touch. Now, it is time to change that. When you pick up the phone and talk to them, you will find out all they have been up to over the past couple of years. You never know, your friendship might blossom once again after all of this is said and done.

4 Go out and exercise

Just because you have to practice social distancing, it doesn’t mean your physical fitness has to fall by the wayside. You are still allowed to go outside and exercise. This helps tremendously with mental health. A lot of people are feeling cooped up in the house because of the stay-at-home order, which is causing them to go stir-crazy. As long as you have a path where there are not a lot of people and you have a safe distance from one another, there is no reason why you can’t go for a short daily walk, weather permitting. Activity is the best thing for someone that suffers from mental health issues. It allows them to feel free, happy, and energized. Many people are confused by what they can and can’t do during these times. They can talk a walk, as long as they exercise caution.

5 Pick up new hobbies

A lot of people are picking up new hobbies during this time. People are learning how to knit or crochet for example. It might have been something they have been wanting to do for years and years, but they haven’t had the time. Now, they have nothing but time on their hands. Because they have this time, they can watch YouTube videos on how to make something from scratch. The thing to realize is that you are stronger than you know. While this is testing a lot of people across the world, they are learning they can get through it if they really put their mind to it and focus on other things. The last thing someone wants to do is focus their energy on what they can’t control. They simply need to focus on what they can handle and what is possible. There is no use trying to make the impossible, possible.

6 Discover yourself

Do you have a lot of racing thoughts? Do you have a lot of worries and fears? If so, now is the time to put them down on paper and get them out there. After all of this is said and done and things return to normal, it will be a useful tool to look back on what what was on your mind. You will learn a lot about yourself. Moving forward, you will learn how to cope with stress and uncertainty when it hits again in the future. While this is a once-in-a-lifetime type situation, there is plenty to be discover about yourself along the way.

7 Spend more time with your pets

If you are busy most of your life because of your job and your responsibilities, you might have neglected the furry creatures in your life. However, all of that can change right now by spending more time with your pets. If you pet your cat early and often, it will really help take care of your stress. It will also help strengthen your bond with your pet as well. The benefits are endless when it comes to spending time with your animal or animals, if you have multiple pets. They are here for you, and they can pick up on your stress. They want to help you deal with it in a healthy way.

While these social distancing activities tips are helpful and very useful, if you have tips you would like to share with us, comment below. We are all in this together and it is important to remember that. A lot of people are struggling right now. It is OK to ask for help and share those fears and concerns. You will realize you are not alone. You will also realize there are social distancing activities you can do to help combat this crazy time in our lives. You just have to ask for help and be willing to adjust your life a little bit.
